Hello again

Hi, I’m Yigit.
I bought my first domain back in 2016. The golden age of AdSense, when everyone and their cousin was building websites. I built mine too. Honestly, that’s when I wrote the most code in my life. Digging through forums to figure something out, poking at a broken theme at midnight, saying “okay, it works” at 4 AM. Good times.
Most of what I wrote back then was web stuff. Then things grew; software became my job and I went well beyond the web. I’ve built payment systems, wrestled with complex distributed systems, shipped mobile apps, even dabbled in game development. Still actively building, too. So this site isn’t a hobby corner. I’ll be writing from the kitchen, not the menu.
But my own site was always the neglected child. I used WordPress for years; installed it, changed themes, updated plugins, then forgot about it. Every couple of years I’d rebuild the whole site telling myself “this time I’ll actually write”, and then not write. It became a tradition.
This time I wanted it to be different. I rebuilt the site from scratch. No WordPress, no admin panel, no plugins to update. Just the writing. Well, there will be.
What took me a whole night to learn in 2016, you can now learn in half an hour with AI. Learning at 2016 speed is just wasted time now. That’s actually where most of my time goes these days: building with AI. What I use, how I use it, and where it falls apart. That’s what I plan to write about. I’ve been part of tech communities for a long time, and most of what we talk about there stays there. I’ll be bringing some of that here too. Plus those problems that take a full day to solve but ten minutes to explain. Especially those.
One thing I should say: I’m teaching an AI to write like me. I’ve given it my old research posts, my thesis, pretty much everything I’ve written. Every round it comes back a little closer. That’s the kind of thing I keep poking at, and it looks like it will make writing here easier.
